Vetemis Referrals is a veterinary referral centre in Brownhills, West Midlands, and one of our completed veterinary practice projects.

Clients arrive at a reception and waiting area finished with a timber slat wall. The clinical side opens from a corridor of glazed partitions and clinical flooring, where the X-ray room carries an illuminated controlled area sign above its door. The treatment rooms have examination lights, clinical sinks and wall-mounted equipment, and consumables and controlled drugs are stored in fitted joinery.

The theatre suite is the clinical core. A prep room with stainless steel wet tables and a clinical workstation leads through glazed double doors into the operating theatres. The theatres have ceiling-mounted surgical lights, pendant arms, wall monitors and services run in wall trunking, and one holds two surgical tables. Full-height glazed partitions keep the theatres in view from the prep room.

The wards have banks of glass-fronted kennels with individual lighting and a fitted sink run, alongside a room of stainless steel kennels. A utility room with fitted cabinetry, a worktop and a clinical sink completes the back of house.
